Greetings Adventurous Ones!

YogaRoots On Location Certified Yoga Teacher Training is a 200-hour holistic course led by Felicia Lane Savage, studying the 8-Limbed Path of Raja Yoga grounded and centered by Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Students will receive training in the form and function of movement and the breath.

Raja Yoga’s 8-Limbs

Postures, Breathing Techniques, Behavioral Restraints, Behavioral Observances, Sensory Withdrawal, Concentration, Meditation and Self-Realization will be practiced throughout the training with an acute awareness of how these practices relate to our own self-awareness, self-care and how we live out the practices of inclusivity and our social justice passions, which will assist us all in working towards being a more humane society.

Holistic Approach

The yoga postures and breathing techniques will be taught using an anatomy and physiology framework, starting from the gross to the subtle anatomy. Students will receive training in the use of movement, essential oils, Reiki, and nutritional support in an effort to practice contemplative care to aid in managing one’s own: Pain, Anxiety, Nausea, Insomnia, Constipation, Exhaustion and Anger, as well as others.

The Peoples’s Institute For Survival and Beyond’s Undoing Racism Principles are the framework that we will explore these Social Justice topics: Equity, Reproductive Justice, Economic Justice, Food Justice,  Anti-Racism organizing and Healing Justice.

Young Living Essential Oils, StrengthsFinder and Numerology Readings and will supplement the curriculum along with the requirement to share your spiritual or religious practice in order to find your own voice and facilitate understanding and compassion among us all.
